Crisis simulation
During a crisis simulation, you will experience what happens to your organization when it is hit by a serious cybersecurity incident.

A cyber incident, what now?
When your organization is hit by a cyber incident, every second counts. Just like with a physical emergency, swift and careful action is required without panic.
During a crisis simulation, we mimic this stressful situation. In a controlled environment, we simulate a cyber incident that is tailored to your organization and the sector in which you operate.
Benefits of a crisis simulation
Incident Response
A crisis simulation is a perfect opportunity to test the effectiveness of the Incident Response Plan. In practice, we regularly see that the information in the Incident Response Plan is not complete. etails such as up‑to‑date contact persons and phone numbers, or the contact details of the service provider. Also, don't forget to save the T-CERT phone number in your contacts list on your phone.
Communication plan
When an incident occurs, the number of actions and decision-making moments follow each other in rapid succession. In addition to bringing the situation under control, communication also plays an important role during an incident. For example, who informs the authorities, the management, employees, shareholders or suppliers? And with what message? A crisis simulation ensures that you think about the message and when you share it beforehand.
Mandate
In order to be able to act quickly and adequately during an incident, it is important that it is clear in advance who is authorized to make decisions and which decisions this person is authorised to take. During a crisis simulation, we see that employees who are placed lower in the hierarchy sometimes have to revoke decisions made by a higher ranking person. This can be a challenging situation. A crisis simulation allows organisations to practise working with these mandates, without any irreversible consequences.
Practical exercise
The threat landscape is constantly changing. New systems, new applications, new employees and new threats all influence your organization's level of resilience.
A crisis simulation, like an emergency response or evacuation exercise, should therefore take place regularly to test in practice whether the processes and procedures are still up to date.
Regular practice of the incident response plan also ensures that employees are better prepared for what is expected of them in the event of an incident. This reduces the response time between the occurrence of an incident and the activation of the T-CERT. A big advantage at a time where every second counts.
